Value and what constitutes value can vary from person to person. We must show prospective students the value of our institution in terms that they can understand and agree with.

You can't take for granted how people will react. You need to listen to them, not just talk at them. Take nothing for granted, all people are different.

Make sure to disingage from what ever else you are working on so you don't sound uninterested. I work at a very small school and wear many hats. Sometimes I have to ask callers to "please hold on just a second" so I can finish something and give the caller my full attention.
