Alternate assessments and value added assessments. 

It's important for students to have concrete, written standards regarding what is expected of them.

Value-added assessments provide a number of insights to how the course content was learned by the students and how it was presented by the instructor. 

Rubrics are a great tool for letting students know the expectations required.

I learned different ways to assess student learning.

The course as a whole should be analyzed to investigate  methods for course improvement.  the purpose of evaluating a course is to determined if the instructional methods and content have been presented in a method appropriate to  accomplishing outcomes/objectives. 

The students assesment and evaluations are a rich tool to improve a program, course, unit, content or task!

I learned that rubrics are way more useful than just providing consistency.

Rubrics provide the student with information regarding the course requirements.
