I didn't realize course evaluations were so important. I can't figure out why we don't make them more mandatory for HS students. I would enjoy this.

Rubrics should be provided for more subjective matter.

I didn't know there was a real difference between assessment and evaluation.

I didn't know about track changer, and I really need to look into being able to get students to engage in other type sof assessessments besides quick check quizzes. Students' weren't engaged in the spring, so I am curious to see how the rest of this module goes.

In general at the beginning of teaching online we were asking very basic questions trying to get students to engage. I think aross the board we needed to give students deeper more meaningful work/assignments in order to set up a standard for learning that we wanted to implement. This didn't happen. I think studetns have the ability to think more critically on their own, we just have to implement better "standards."

Incorporating multiple modalities in order for students to be able to access the informaiton will help keep students engaged. Getting them to be more accountable by providing rubrics will alleviate some of the instructor aggrevation.

Some limitations are that students want to be force fed the information and have an easy way to just 'answer questions". They are used to this model. I found this when presenting online learning for the first time. Students quickly went in and clicked answers to move on and get credit for the course but put forth very little effort.

During online learning students must be accountable and ready to participate. The teacher "Presents" the materials as a guide for the students and the students engage with the teachers to be able to complete the assignments.during initial online learning, I felt like I was present and available for my students and they weren't showing up to the classes during designated "times" and I would like to fix this for the future.

Using formative and summative assessment are very important, we can't rely upon just student feedback. Looking at the entirety of the course, not just one assignment for organization.

I took notes on specific formative and summative assessment ideas, with those guiding guestions. I also enjoyed the specifics of a rubric. We've always been told to give rubrics and I see students' not using them. I wonder if they were better designed with more specific guidelines if the would be more apt to use them?
