When giving feedback it should be descriptive feedback. Rubrics should be modified and enhanced as necessary.

 

Rubics should be student centered and unbiased. Students should be able to understand the rubric.

Planning out your rubric is important when creating it so that it is clear and concise.

Rubrics are great tools for evaluating students and for course feedback. However, they can be very time consuming to create.

Rubrics can be a great way to provide specific feedback to students on a variety topics where they are being assessed. The key to using a rubic though is that students understand the rubic and how it is being used.

I should use more essay style questions in my assessments to better gauge if my students are grasping material.

I learned that I should use some diagnoitic formative assessments for my students.

There are various assessment tools that you can use but it is important to identify which has the best function for what you are trying to assess. It is also important to assess frequently.

Teachers need to be open to reflecting, altering, and updating content to keep things interesting for the students. Gather data about your assignments to determine effectivness.

Because we are not in a traditional classroom enviornment it is important that expectations for students are clear and that there is constant communication and feedback between student and teacher. However, it is important to set boundaries on communication as well like office hours.
