I totally agree we have to communicate with our students and let them know classroom expectations and also respond to their inquiries in a timely manner.
Giving examples are a great way and example :)
How to communicate with the instructor by giving an example.. also explain the importance of communication.
I plan to have open communication with the students and remind them to email me through canvas email for any questions or concerns.
I want to incorporate more auditory messages, such as recording feedback and recording announcements. I also plant to check in more with students for positive communication reasons.
I have learned in this module, the importance of instructing students on the importance and skills of effective communication
I learned that it is important to remind students about online communication needs to be professional as well as in professional communication in person learning setting.
The importance of effective communication.
In this module, I learned that there is a multitude of the engagement process for online students and there is also a wide variety of how students can collaborate to work on an individual and group basis.
I learned it is important to teach and help students develop professional communication with online learning.
I like the idea of a writing guide that will benefit students during the course as well as in future courses. Even with that resource in hand, it is a challenge to provide constructive criticism on writing because people take feedback on their communication very personally . . . as a reflection of their background, intelligence, and even their character. I will make an even greater effort than I have in the past to help without embarrassing them.
It is very important to have professional communication online with the students and also make sure that students are responding in professional ways. Sometimes we may need to help them with their communications skills.
I leared that effective communication means communicating concisely, asking questions and offering feedback.
Reviewing and sharing academic policies with students is necessary.
Academic honestly is crucial for maintaining good online citizenship and this can be explained to students through the syllabus.

I learned the importance of communication online by building several methods like blogs, emails etc. and how crucial it is to establish a procedure for communication with all students and participation being the key.
Also investing in them on a more personal level is very important for their emotional development.
Using several methods like blogs, messaging, and group meetings are different ways to engage with students especially due to the fact that online classes require much more writing, and research than person to person.
I learned that you need to use more than one tactic to engage online learners.
