I will acknowledge, in writing, the student's emotions and concerns. I will hopefully increase morale and connection with the students to let them know they are supported. 

The role of technology has increased tremendously over the past years. It is great for students who want to learn online. It's flexible for their convenience. It can take away the personable aspect when it comes to student instructor interaction. 

To understand different struggles of online learners and to communicate often to assist the students. To make sure they are citing things properly in APA format so we can help alleviate plagiarism. 

I can create a trusting mutual respectful relationship with the student to help them feel confident and supported.

Group activities can be a great tool to stimulate critical thinking.  

Active learning helps the students be more involved. You can create various types of learning activities to encourage student participation which also helps with developing critical thinking skills.  

I would encourage students to make a calendar of their to do list to help them avoid the pitfall of procrastination.  I would create an environment of teamwork and provide frequent feedback to help students feel consistently involved. 

Make sure students understand the technologies used and are efficient with our specific tools. Some may come from different backgrounds and jobs and may not know about documents, emails, and submitting assignments. Encourage students to use social platforms to be more engaged. 

To prepare students to become good online learners, you should communicate often, create feedback and guide students with their responses. Thinking about creative ways to respond and talking back and forth as much as possible will help students with assignments, critical thinking skills, and time management. 

Iv'e learned that you need to create a relationship with your students especially the online students. This will help you learn their learning strengths and weaknesses. Making short videos for announcements will keep things personable and keep the students engaged.
