My biggest take-aways were:

1. Professionalism and being a model of the profession you are trying to teach is of utmost importance. Not only can you teach the subject, you have to BE a good example of the profession itself.

2. You need to keep re-educating YOURSELF on the latest in the field in order to be the best instructor. Some ways to do that is go to seminars for professional organizations and read journal articles from the field.

To expand on my credentials and be up to date on new innovations in the automotive industry.

I have learned to introduce myself to students and remain professional at all times.

Model, Manage and Motivate at all times!

Lead your students in a standard matter possible, Show them how to listen and communicate  effectively.

How to manage the class.

I loved the 5 C's. Be credible, candid, compassionate, committed and clear!

Be prepared, on time and ready to teach. Take an interest in your students. Let them know you care. Be enthusiastic about teaching and importance of learning. Remember we are human and make mistakes, just own up and admit to them and move on.

To model and lead the classroom, and to maintain the professionalism with them that I want them to develop in their careers.

Don't change WHO you are, as that is usually a strong point in your teaching. However, it is so important to learn teaching strategies and improve the techniques of successful teaching.

Look neat and professional be prepared

Know your pass ,know your strength, know your school.

Conduct your self as a professional.

Always develop to become a better instructor.

Believe in what you teach and be a role model to the students.

I have learned to be an effective instructor. One needs to model manage and motivate the students.

talk with your students about areas of your teaching they may struggle with learning. Also be engaging and have things for students to engage with during instructions so you are not just talking the whole time (ex. videos or educational games).

Practicing Professionalism and developing a teaching style that allows you to connect with your students in way that will allow them to retain information and better learn from your past experiences and knowledge that you have obtained throughout your time working in the field and as an educator.

I learned that professionalism goes a long way! Even the smallest parts of what it means to be professional will rub off on the students!

I learned a lot today....

Don't go into a classroom assuming you are the smartest there-always someone that knows more than you do

Be humble, understanding and have patience when sharing your knowledge

Be a model for your students and lead by example

Always be professional and transparent
