Engaging the class and keeping them motivated!
Great training. Thank you so much
Teach with common sense so students can understand and learn correctly
The teacher needs to be well prepared, know the subject and be able to bring the knowledge to his students
Learning is the most important part of education because teachers are models of professionalism.
The 5 C's were a useful reminder for engaging students, and I appreciated the reminder that even though we will be teaching adults they will still need modeling for professional and appropriate conduct in the classroom.
This was good content; particularly for new instructors but beneficial for all.
Instructors are models for professionalism for their students. Arriving on time, dressing professionally, greeting the students as they walk in. Make the students your focus
Engauge and read the class. Know what is appropriate, be the example and encourage students.
Know what type of instructor you are and be away of any quirks that one my have. Keep learning new things in your field so you can teach relevant subject matter.
Model, Manage and Motivate. Show how you love what you're teaching, not how smart you are. Plan to always learn more
Sometimes you gotta lead by following.
As academic instructors, we are responsible for teaching and motivating students. In my opinion best attitudes and actions as teachers and role models includes being genuinely caring and kind. Always available for the students and willing to be present and professional.
Be the teacher you needed
Be someone worth following
Be Honest
Even tempered
and Dedicated
You don't need to prove you are smart to your students - prove you are passionate!
I learned quite a bit, but my biggest take-away is that students don't care how smart you are, they care that you care (about them and the subject). If they feel cared about, they just may do better in the subject because connection is important in the classroom.
Lead by example, have an individual plan developed in the role as an instructor and leader in the classroom for your students, and don't try to prove to your students that you are smart because humility is important and you want the learning environment for your students to be open where they are engaged and are able to share their ideas, opinions, etc.
Always det yourself up to continue learning. Doing this will be key in your success as well as your learners.
