Through this course, I learned that there are a lot of things that we need to keep in mind before preparing a lesson plan for the class. We need to make changes in the lesson plans for each set of class. One lesson plan may not completely fulfil the requirements of the next set of students even though the contents to be covered may be the same. Instructors need to be flexible and have a plan B always ready incase your main plan doesn't work.

Be ready when students have a question. Try to stay on the same subject you are about to teach.

figure out what your students may or may not know prior to the start of the lesson.

Always be prepared to give the lesson and stay on time. If there is a time crunch, have an alternate lesson plan if needed. Timing is crucial to get the material across to the student. Doing these things will let the students know that you are organized, and as a result they will respect the instructor and stay engaged.

Nice lesson. Everything described here is vital for the teaching career.

Plan and plan for changes and compression, have extra or the next lesson ready to go, just in case.  And also be prepared to push back lessons as it may take longer than expected to teach a lesson, be adaptive

good information

Preparing for and creating lesson plans begins with simply deciding what is necessary and needs to be taught to your students.

Early on there were some compression issues but once I had the material down, it goes pretty smoothly. However, I am changing some lessons (cramming several concepts into one lesson in order to offer a real-life simulation), so I will likely be dealing with that issue again.

Preparation and a structure classroom is much easy to keep students actively engaged and focus.

I learned assessment strategies are very important.  They help measure the classes' ability throughout the entire course.  Examples of assessments are quizzes, projects, tests, and demonstrations.

A good instructor makes sure that they create lessons that are directly connected to the skills and development that students need to be successful in their careers.

I like the idea of a pretest to assess what the students know already about the subject you are going to teach.  This way you can keep your students engaged.

Planning is key, and making sure that you have wiggle room in your schedule for compression and/or questions.

I've learned how important it is to conduct a baseline assessment of the knowledge and experience of your training audience, because learning plans can always be tailored to provide more effective training objectives.

Yes flexability is one key that is important, knowing your student's ability to comprehen the content you are presenting, lesson planning to maximize material delivery and the time,  every student does not absorb at the same paste assuring everyone gets the same results, completion and success of the course is the goal

plan for time compression.  Have things available and ready when things go quicker than expected.

Give a pretest to see what students already know about course content.

Always be organized and prepared for the lessons that are upcoming. If you don't know the material your students won't be able to learn.

Always plain ahead
