Time management plans a big part in preparing for class.  Creating lesson plans provide a structured, but flexible guide for assisting instructors to deliver the course material in effective manner to engage their students and achieve the course objectives.

I like the idea of giving my students a pretest or something that enables me to know them better and their level of knowledge. This will help me better pitch the course to all students and get the level of the class correct.

Good time management is important to keeping the students engaged.

I like using online research for visual aids/teaching this sometimes answer questions that instructors have not answered.

I like the Idea to have students look up relevant content videos to use in class. and always keep up to date on your field of teaching content.

I am going to start looking at teaching from multiple textbooks and not just from the one textbook. Use more resources

I have realized that teaching some materials can be finished at a decent time and still have time left.

Time management is vital in the learning process, to ensure that the intended work is completed and that there is adequate time for completing task

Need to realize teaching materials can be finished and still has a lot of time left.

Make sure you have enough content to fill the time you have. Have extra work ready in case a lesson takes less time than you expect.

Taking time to prep resources leads to higher relevancy to subject matter.

I have learned that it is a great idea to find out what do your student already know about the course that you are teaching in order to ensure that your ready to teach them properly

About  Preparation of Planning lessons I have learned that planning requires clear objectives,  varied activities and fair assesment. I will defenititly apply what I have learned.

I like the idea of students finding websites that they can share with the group!

From this module, I learned how important it is to intentionally get to know students at the start of a course through icebreakers, information sheets, and conversations that help build a full picture of their backgrounds and experiences. I also learned the value of sharing a bit about myself to create connection and trust. Moving forward, I plan to use pretests and early check-ins to better understand what students already know so I can plan lessons that meet them where they are. By considering class length, pacing, and student readiness, I can adjust instruction to support both advanced and struggling learners, creating a more balanced and effective learning environment

The use of pretests to gain student insight was an excellent takeaway.

Comment on Julian Watson's post: I love using this in my classes.  Depending on the lesson I am teaching I will ask students to find websites that answers questions that have come up during discussions or to seek answers to questions I provide to them.  I ask them to send me the links of the sites they have used, which in turn helps me to keep refreshing the content I provide to the students.

Knowing the subject, knowing your students and planning prior to instruction allow great classroom flow.

Knowing your subject matter and your audience is key.  Never assume everyone is at the same level.
