content should be clear and diversified to engage students
I learned there were 6 principles in which to present E-learning online. This includes text, audio, animation, graphics, video, artwork and photographs. Combing all or a mixture of these provides for a more interesting and added learning presentation for your students.
In this module I learned that there must be consistency throughout the course. Staying clear, organized and consistent in the e-learning process.
The way in which content is presented is important for the learner. It is also essential to present content organized with objectives that help students advance to the next phase of learning. Visual aids also support learning since they can reinforce textual information and help with retaining the information.
The way it is presented in the content and syllabus helps with student success.
This module gave me ideals of media that I can use for the class
How to increase student participation in online assignments?: Create purpose-drive engagement.
Peer feedback provides students with the opportunity to take and give constructive feedback, which is essential skill required in professional settings.
We should now that almost all platforms included to many tools to help students to be more participative
There are several different strategies an instructor can chose to use to design a course. Using multiple media strategies helps to engage the learner in the content and promotes delivery of the content.
You must appeal to all learning styles. Student self-assessment is a great way to access all students including your quieter ones.
In my prison setting, I don't use a syllabus per se (we do an orientation and provide a tracking sheet), but I am considering one for those students who might be more organized, academically advanced, or want to go onto formal education from here.
Hello everyone,
This module helped me understand the importance of designing authentic assessments that are clearly aligned with learning outcomes. I especially appreciated the role of peer feedback and detailed rubrics, as they promote active learning and help strengthen the sense of community in online environments.
Wishing you all the best as you continue the course!
Media Strategies & Instructional Systems Design (ISD)
Here the lesson is not lose focus on the end result and that means to deliver content that inspires students to stay engaged with the process. A clear lay out of the program should be in plain sight using many media utilities such that they building competencies are met without deterring the learner from having to remember where they left off. So equally important is the sense of self-monitoring and gauging ones understanding in an on-line setting.
I learned that Instructional System Design (ISD) for online courses involves four phases: Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. Analysis identifies the target audience, content, and learning outcomes. The design phase outlines instructional media, presentations, activities, and assessments. A variety of media strategies, such as text, audio, graphics, and video, are used to engage students.
To promote student engagement and participation, ISD incorporates peer feedback, self-evaluation rubrics, and teamwork opportunities. Group assignments and discussions encourage students to apply their knowledge and share ideas. Clear communication and instructor support are essential.
Assessments, such as exams, quizzes, and self-evaluations, help students gauge their learning. Detailed rubrics and clear directions increase student understanding and reduce feelings of isolation. Other assessment methods include essays, research papers, and case studies.
Online discussions, concept mapping, and live group presentations also enhance student engagement. Well-designed tests and quizzes provide immediate feedback and can include multiple-choice, true/false, or written answers. By incorporating these strategies, ISD creates an effective and engaging online learning environment that supports student success.
I have learned that the LMS a teacher uses has many functions that enable students to be engaged and interact with each other. I plan to explore more of these options the next time I teach a student online.
Successful online learning is dependant on several ISD components and media strategie. Strategically selected technology tools such as videos, forums for discussion, platforms, graphs, and photos. ISD should encourage students in the course to interact in meaningful ways through study groups, discussions and feedback. Having a solid ISD will reach all learners while ensuring the topic at hand is taught thoroughly.
