It is important to support literacy in all of its forms including VR and simulation technology. This helps students to be prepared when approaching situations in the real world. 

Newer literacy includes: mobility, social media, and formed information.

New literacy includes: logical flow, visual representation, and connectivity.

Literacy includes: reading, writing, listening, and understanding.

I believe in using several methods for presenting information and giving learning opportunities.

Utilizing different modes of communication allows the material to be accessible to a wider range of students. 

Lesson materials need to include many different modes of communication to help students understand in a variety of ways. Teaching students in their native language helps the information to be more accessible to the student. 

Really fascinating information, but I am going to need more time to put this into action. 

In my class, I make notes assignments where the student must take notes either during class or on the online reading that is available.

It is important to have a clear understanding of the standards and objectives. This clear understanding will provide students with helpful guidance in preparation for learning what is being taught.
