In this module I learned about Malcolm Knowles and how he is considered the father of adult education. I'm happy that someone shed some light on this subject because adult and children really do learn differently. While all 4 principles are important, I believe I can connect most with the second one, where an adult accumulates a growing reservoir of experience. This principle is especially important to understand because as adults, we all have learned from experiences and some experiences are not in books but in real life.

Many individuals have a perception where they believe communication is simply a back and forth situation however, that is not the case at all. It involves active listening and repeating to make sure we listened and captured the message.

One of the best ways to learn a trade is definitely by practicing "hands-on" using both simulations and real-world exposure. A lot of the time, it is important to disclose this information to the site that will be training the student so they can get a good idea of what it is they will be practicing.

In this module I learned that communication contains to be a key component in any aspect of learning.

The most important thing learned in this module was the very last sentence I read. Model what your students should be learning. Providing real-world examples is a great way to keep them engaged so they are able to understand the problem and analyze the solution.

Now I understand why my previous online instructors would have us write about ourselves and introduce each other; they were attempting to not only learn a little bit about us personally and what our goals were but, learn our personalities. Genius! I will definitely do the same.

It continues to be essential that we are able to determine everyone's personality and level of understanding so that we can teach and have everyone learn the same content using various methods.

While there are 4 colors to represent the different ways an individual is, I believe a person can change "color" as they get older and more experienced.

This is why we have to have so many different ways to present the information because there are many different ways that students see and understand information.

As in most, if not all online classes, procrastination persists. Time management is crucial in helping to meet and/or exceed deadlines. Incorporating communication of all due dates on the syllabus and giving this information to students on day one may be extremely beneficial for students.
