I have learned that it is imperative that admissions enrollment terms be followed completed and that all forms need to be completed before enrollment is complete. Additionally, all forms need to be stored according to policies set forth by the institution. Payment, refund and financial aid information is something I need to be able to discuss.

This module reiterated the importance of following policies and procedures (and seeking clarification/guidance from your supervisor when necessary). It is vital that we are prepared for the interviews and have all documentation organized in a way that ensures we don't overlook any crucial steps in the compliance process.

To ensure 100% compliance is maintained at all times, I use a pre-enrollment checklist to help guide me through each enrollment, which ensures each step in the enrollment process is carried out in compliance to CIE regulations.  The sequential order of steps is important, since the commission requires specific tasks to be done in a specific order, such as all applicants must receive a copy of the school catalog prior to collection any funds from an applicant.  Also to ensure mandatory disclosures are provided prior to registration.

One key takeaway for me is the importance of being thoroughly prepared before conducting any admissions interview. Creating a checklist in advance—not only with the questions to ask but also with the required documents and criteria—helps ensure that nothing is overlooked. It also allows for a more organized and compliant process, making it easier to verify that each prospective student meets the necessary requirements. This level of preparation helps the conversation flow more smoothly and supports a professional and efficient admissions experience.

Be prepared, have a list of all requirements for the student to keep track of the students needs and to ensure you find out if they meet the requirements.

I learned that the best way to prepare for an admission interview is to have a checklist prepared beforehand with questions to ask the prospective student. These are questions to ensure that prospective student meets the enrollment requirements and also an easy way for me to check off and keep track that they do meet each requirement.

Even though the information may be written in the catalog and enrollment agreement, it is still our job to be sure the applicant is thoroughly informed about the terms and conditions of paying their tuition and fees.

To be best prepared for the interview, it's very helpful to have a checklist and gathered all the information available about the prospect student.
