From my experience, that coincides with this information, the most important thing is having all parts of the course completely ready before the course begins. Faculty must know how to use any and all plug in applications that take students out of canvas & into a different application. Know how to manipulate due dates within those applications so they match the LMS system, ect is extremely important to cut down on student frustrations.
I've learned that there is still I have to learn in order to effectively teach, that includes using online tools which can aid in not only presenting content to the students but also aid in organizing the information.
As an instructor I need to understand the course delivery process. Understand the CMS, go through the courses and modules in order to be able to guide students and answer their questions.
This section (Course Delivery) has informed me of a lot of great tips and tools. Knowing the content is important. Equally as important is knowing where your resources can be found and how things within the system work.
These are helpful reminders of everything I need to know and understand to be a good online teacher, but more importantly, what I can do to facilitate the learning process for my students.
I learned that it is imperative to know how to navigate your course as to provide guidance to your students.
Be prepared for your course and ready to answer the relative question that come with any course material.
I love all the modalities of support not only for the faculty but for the students as well. Canvas and ACC really want to support their staff and students every way they can.
So far in this course, I have learned that students learn better when the lessons are highly interactive, which promotes better learning. I will apply this to every day by drawing pictures on the board in addittion to explaining the topic.
I've that it is imperative that students are equipped with the tools to be successful in the online platform. They need to have the course outlined in a way that is easy to follow. Students should have learning support with feedback and technical support.
Your turn around time with assignments and grades should be in a timely manner. Also students should have examples of the assignments given because everyone learns different some need to see it.
I will apply a few things that I have not been consistent with such as making sure that every student has the right hard and software components to be online.
As a lab instructor I honestly never realized how much online communication/tracker I actually do.
An online learning environment must be structured well for the student to learn in a comfortable setting.
I learned that I would need the knowledge and understanding of the online course and systems to better assist the students when situations occu.

this topic is understanding the importance of handling the online course management CMS for students,. I will need to know how to operate understand and be able to review and input scores, grades ect. Understand the course structure and modify if i need to.
Structure in the online e- learning is imperative.
Ive learned with the combination of a e-learning base the student is able to continuously review in the comfort of their own home and have several resources at their disposal.
It is great to know or discover that "Body Language" has the big impact on how you communicate. Very useful to learn this different components and forms of communication.
I learned all the different components involved in teaching in an online format.
During the covid period I had to use online education. I found you had to be an independent learner to master the skills needed to complete the class.
