The world is changing faster than traditional education can keep up. AI will start to do all the hard skill jobs, but is not very adaptable to soft skills. This is even more true now that we have transitioned from a relational world to a transactional one. Educators will have an ever-increasing duty to help enhance the soft skills of their students.   This will become even more challenging, as many courses are now offered in an online format.   The challenge will be to enhance skills such as critical thinking, teamwork, problem solving, time management, and communication skills.

Soft skill are very helpful for staff and students. It provides professional development and people skills such as communication, patience and organization.

Soft skill is very crucial for education setting and must be practiced by both the educators and learners to be a successfully fulfill their purposes.

Time and time again have proven that soft skills will allow you to have a better connection with students to enhance their learning.

Introducing soft skills front and center as an educator will influence my students in a positive way.

i have learned from this module the importance of soft skills as an esentil too for teaching the hard skills students must learn as part of their education. Successful implementation of soft skills will help me be a successful educator.

Through this module, I have gained a deeper understanding of the crucial role soft skills play in professional success. While technical expertise is essential, research suggests that 85% of workplace success depends on soft skills, such as interpersonal abilities and workplace behaviors, while only 15% relies on hard skills. However, many educators often overlook the importance of developing these skills, prioritizing technical proficiency instead. Transitioning from a clinical nursing role to an instructional setting highlights this gap—while patient education is a core part of nursing, it does not fully prepare educators for classroom management, student conflict resolution, or enforcing school policies.

Additionally, professionalism is not a singular trait but rather a combination of various skills that must be cultivated together. Recognizing this, I intend to apply my learning by emphasizing the development of my own soft skills, particularly in fostering a structured and supportive educational environment. Whether managing classrooms, resolving disputes among students, or addressing noncompliance with school policies, I will consciously work on strengthening communication, leadership, and adaptability—critical components of professionalism. By doing so, I aim to create a more effective and positive learning atmosphere for my students.

I learned that business development and sales are very important especially when it comes to communication, Resilience, Responsibility , Persuasion, and Confidence.

The importance of the student-centered approach in teaching, train the student in problem solving and critical thinking, which is very important in all aspects of daily issues.

Students stay engaged in the course of what is being taught when they feel that their instructor supports them and they feel that their instructor is genuine in wanting them to succeed, it is important to have soft skills especially as an educator.

As an educator I realize I am lacking in some soft skills and hope to rearrange my style to include more soft skills.

During an interview, soft skills are recognized and often more important than the degrees or other accolades a person possesses.

In my life, I have met many intelligent persons who can barely make it in life.

I was surprised in the difference of value between soft skills and hard skills. Although hard skills are just as important as soft skills, soft skills are important for communication and teamwork.

Soft skills and organizational skills are skills in running a clinical rotation.

I have learned the definition of hard skills and soft skills.  I have also learned the importance of obtaining these skills when it comes to employment.

Soft skills are important for success in the classroom.

The breakdown of the different soft skills was helpful. What I learned from this module is the importance of creating a supportive and engaging learning environment. Applying them in the classroom setting requires intentionality.

As a shop manager I have notice that younger people are very shy and reserved. I myself have soft people skills. I love to help and teach my employes. And yes I will be using soft people skills in the class room.

As educators we can incorporate soft skills development into existing subjects and programs. Offer standalone courses, workshops, or programs focused on soft skills development. Encourage students to work on projects that require collaboration, communication, and problem-solving. Invite special speakers or guest from various industries to share their experiences and emphasize the importance of soft skills. Develop methods to assess and provide constructive feedback on students' soft skills development.

As an educator, soft skills are your most important tool to have in your arsenal. I like to equate being an educator to being a coach of a team. A coach is a motivator and instructor, and to be successful you'll have to understand how to communicate with different types of people and personalities. Finding ways to keep the enthusiastic students engaged while bringing the less enthused to a level of excitement that keeps the lesson going smooth are signs of a strong educator. A great coach knows that keeping the star player motivated and properly prepared isn't going to be the same as talking to the least experienced player on the team. Soft skills are what keep the group moving towards a common goal the main objective.
