Activity

I have learned that a good strategy for repeating mistakes is to make notes about how lectures, demonstrations worked for me.

Developing a relationship with each student helps you develop a sense of his or her abilities and discipline. I implement this by having weekly one on ones with each of my students going forward.

I have learned center of attention students can be used a positive and not a negative. I will use their energy and always wanting to talk or be center stage when class is dragging or when the students began to get disengaged.

What I have learned from this course is to be very clear about what is expected from the students while the semester is session. I have learned that I need to make sure that students understand how they  will be graded on assignments, make sure that they now what are the major goals and parts of the course, and also to make sure they understand the consequences for turning in homework and assignments late and how it affects their grade.

I learned that I was already implementing some of the gamification concepts. I also learned that applying quests and missions throughout my units would be very helpful to my students

If a student has a learning disability, then I need to talk with them to see if they have had anything in place to help them be able cope with the disability so that they can be successful in the class. Let them understand that I know that they may require more time on certain assignments. Also will need to get with the school and see if there is a program already in place for students with learning disabilities.

Give short projects to help students that are learning English and a new career.

I have learned to make sure I put the students in groups based on their Experience and background.

I learned to make sure that I am  commanding the room during lectures by speaking in a tone this is loud enough for everyone can hear while also keeping their attention. Also make sure not to fidget in any way as well.

Test demonstrations before doing them with the class. Develop lesson plans with different teaching methods
