To become a more proficient instructor- time management is crucial. Being prepared for class with all materials ready to be handed out will increase confidence in the students and their success in the class. Maintaining an organized classroom and keeping control is crucial for a class to run smoothly 

All of these soft skills work together to build a healthy and efficient classroom/school. Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically while maintaining boundaries and expectations sets a student up for success.  

There are a lot of factors that goes into an efficient teacher who has soft skills. A teacher has to be a role model for their students as to how to act professionally and follow the rules and protocols. Teachers also need to ability to resolve conflicts in a calm and composed manner while maintaining the perspective of all of their students. 

Having an understanding that not every student is the same and will learn the same, while being able to adapt to assist each student to the best of our ability.   

I have learned that soft skills are not only about communication with others but also critical thinking, leadership and problem solving. Utilizing all aspects of soft skills will set an individual up for success in the workplace; what that looks like is an individual who can communicate clearly and with composure, remain focused and calm during a problem that arises- while finding a solution. It also looks like someone who works well with others and can be a role model in behavioral responses and peer relationships.
