This course was helpful and resourceful on how to approach students based on their needs and way of learning.
Students are in the classroom for a variety of reasons and have a variety of skill brought to the classroom, along with a variety of fears. We as instructors must work within these confines and be encouraging, but overall we are there to teach the content and help them learn.
I learned that you have to keep the students motivated and be flexible when students become frustrated.
Students will not return to class if they feel like school has become a chore, it is important to build a relationship to keep them coming back to campus.
It is important to understand students to meet them where they are at as they all come from different places in their life.
This has helped me get into the heads of my students, many of whom are even older than me, and who are especially removed from what I teach (mathematics). Without understanding their goals and motivations, it's very hard to get through to them.
These bulleted lists will make it far easier.
Helpful couse that made me realize the importance of seeing the course through the perspective of the students, and way to overcome their individual challenges.
Very knowledgeable will help to work with students from all Culture.

Learners need understanding and support from instructors .
This module makes you aware that the category of age plays a role is how well a student does in his or her program.
It is understandable knowing that different stages in age play a factor in how well a student understands his or her program.
By thinking about my students needs I can help them be successful. These needs go beyond their learning needs.
This section was is a good reminder of the value of talking and listening to the individual students situations, expectations and goals. Then using this information to make their experience more rewarding.
liked how students were placed in maslows hiarchy of learning
This information is helpful to learn why we need to get to know the students.
This course helped me to understand how to motivate students, depending on how the student is self-motivated either intrinsically or extrinsically, to succeed as well as identify issues or barriers that prevent them from achieving their academic goals.
I’ve learned communication is key as an instructor. Oftentimes we can get caught up in the process of being the instructor. But sometimes it requires doing more listening than talking. Allowing students to express themselves and educate you can in-turn help them.
I learned from this course that everyone learns and intake things different from others. You must have patient with the students and understand that they also have reasonings as well. They might be frustrated or they might have forgotten. More in fact, they are probably scared. They key word is to have patience and teach your students a way that they could also understand.
I like the idea of discussing career goal, so I can better understand the students and their needs.
In this module, I have gained the understanding of not only being aware of your students but speaking with them to either being a ear to listen or to help guide them with their next steps.
