Comment on Cynthia Strycharz's post

I was thrusted into virtual teaching during the pandemic. It was helpful to collaborate with an instructor who had experience with virtual teaching. I was able to come up with some engaging assignments and allow the students to verbalize what they were learning. One of the biggest challenges was to have all of the students keep their cameras on the entire class time.

Comment on Samuel Beaumont's post

Agreed. It is up to the instructor to relay what the expectations are for their students. This may be the first time the students are taught how to critically think and problem solve. This will set the tone for the students college career and they will have these skills to build upon.

Comment on Eileen Epsaro's post:

Students should take resposibility for their own learing and improving their knowledge base. As educators, we can share our experiences, create assignments for students to work as a group and encourage individual learning techniques.

Comment on Nancy Parra's post: This class provides great insight into the adult learners brain and how information is absorbed.

Comment on SETH SORONNADI's post: I agree that this is one of the ways to determine in the instructor is an effective educator. This could assist the instuctor on how to best improve their teaching techniques.

Comment on Michael Taylor's post: It is always a good idea to obtain a baseline of how your students learn. Incorparating different teaching styles can appeal to all learners. Cramming is never the best way to learn. Learning concepts and rationales is the best way to learn.

Comment on Vonda Reed's post: I have not incorporated music as a learning tool as of yet. It is something that I would like to do in the near future.

Comment on Michelle Paul's post: It can be challenging dealing with rowdy students. I will utilize the tools in this section and replace negitive words with positive ones. Also, I will not challenge individual students and speak to them individually without other students being present.

Comment on Jeanette Roach's post: Many students with learning disabilities need additional support. It is a good idea to identify what their needs are so that they can have the support they need to be successful. Allowing students with learning disabilities to have extra time on test could be beneficial.

Comment on Francisco Gonzalez's post: It would be best to identify early on what students are able to comprehend so that an instructor can identify how to best support the student. Incorporating a few new vocabulary words at a time along with examples will be a good way to introduce students to new terms.
