Activity

In this module I’ve learned that an instructor played three roles. They are a model, manager and motivator. As a model they are an example of excellence and professionalism. A manager displays authority, is a disciplinarian when necessary, a cheerleader and acts as judge/jury as needed. A motivator is actively looking for ways to keep students engaged in class and committed to their goals and future career success.

All 5 points are a great addition to the learning plan.

Body language is very important when teaching. It can make students feel tense if an instructor is not self aware and self controlled.

Facilitating is worth the risk of losing time while teaching. At the end of the day student engagement means more information retention.
