En este módulo aprende que los juegos y las simulaciones son herramientas muy efectivas para el aprendizaje en línea, ya que permiten que los estudiantes participen activamente y experimenten de forma práctica los contenidos. Entiendo que estas estrategias hacen que el proceso de aprendizaje sea más dinámico, motivador y significativo, ayudando a que los conceptos se comprendan mejor y se retengan por más tiempo.
Pienso aplicar lo aprendido integrando juegos y simulaciones en mis actividades educativas para crear ambientes más interactivos y divertidos. También quiero utilizar recursos digitales y plantillas que faciliten la creación de experiencias de aprendizaje atractivas, con el fin de aumentar la participación y el interés de mis compañeros o estudiantes.

I found interesting that simulations are especially useful because they reflect real-world processes in a structured way, giving students the chance to practice without real risks. I plan to apply this idea by using simulations as a way for learners to connect theory with practice, especially when teaching skills that require decision making.

Time is the biggest hurdle

Great material, which provides insight to the balance of  formal lectures and simulation. 

Gaming is such a large part of the younger generation's style. Incorporating this into the classroom would for sure make it more interesting for this demographic.

Games and simulations can give students an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in a low stress environment. Some advantages of games/simulations include greater engagement and higher retention of knowledge and skills. Some obstacles to the use of games and simulations are instructor hesitancy, lack of time and finding activities that teach the critical ideas/skills rather than secondary.

Gaming and simulations can be beneficial as a learning tool not just as a reward.

As technology is surging within our schools, I think the idea of a "game" can spark an interest in the students learning. Many don't know how to utilize their computers/tablets as tools and instead think that "games" are like what they do at home. Teaching them how to use their devices as tools will help them understand that a "game" will facilitate their learning and they will want to engage more. 

Hemos aprendido acerca de la diferencia y lo propio de los juegos y los simuladores.  El mundo puede ser visto y aprendido a través de diferentes modos de aprender, con la mirada de múltiples disciplinas y con el apoyo de los diseñadores de juegos, expertos en pedagogía y por supuesto contenidos fundamentales.

The name "game" itself increases a curiosity in learners.  Gaming is a different but interactive way to learn the concept that can set a goal and allow students to be challenged and engaged.

The simulation on the other hand the representation of life or controversial events illustrated in dynamic methods, which is not like game but can be interactive and interesting for students to curious, challenged and engaged since it also can be set with a goal.  

The course should provide gaming for courses of adult students as well.

In new learning environment (online learning / teaching) the game and simulation are an important tools to engage students in process of online learning. There are advantages and disadvantages of online learning with games. The advantage is engaging learners, and problem is "time was not enough".

Algo que aprendí es que los estudiantes pueden explorar el impacto de múltiples decisiones simultáneamente.  Al incorporar juegos juegos en el aprendizaje y formación en línea, deben de lograr involucrar y desafiar a los estudiantes para que puedan dominar y aplicar conceptos nuevos a situaciones reales.

I have learned that there are advantages and disadvantages to using simulators. One of the disadvantages is that some students may not understand how to use the simulator; therefore, they may lose interest in the assignment. 

Great insights! I am currently teaching a course using a simulation, and this material made me think I should supplement with formal lectures on some of the frequently misunderstood aspects of the simulation

He aprendido el proceso cognitivo que ayuda al aprendizaje....lo que escucho me olvido, lo que escucho y veo puedo recordar algo, lo que escucho, veo y discuto empeizo a aprender y lo que escucho, veo, discuto y hago me ayuda a aprender mejor....todo esto en un ambiente virtual se facilita con los juego y la simulacion donde se pueden crear los contextos necesarios.

I would like to include more teacher-made games in the classroom. If I write them myself, they tend to be less fraught with errors, and they are more related to the class's learning content.

 

Gaming allows a way to bring an innovative collaboration and learn new material 

Sometimes games are helpful to certain types of learners.  Sometimes they're not.
