Being safe is the most important part of being a nurse. I must be safe to help others and teach the students

As a math teacher I don't have to worry about safety as much, however I teach inside the labs students use for their other fields so I have to keep it in mind.

Rules should be posted and successfully modeled by teacher.

Our students havent built the immunity that us medical veterans have, its been super important to spray down all desks and equipment between classes.

Tell horror stories to your students about fatalities and near fatalities.

Proper PPE is part of our course material when our students step foot into our shop for any hands on work. Its a constant battle with some of them to wear safety glasses and proper foot wear, however there is a reason for these things being a requirement and it isnt just because we are trying to be a jerk about all of it.

That we need to be vigilant about safety.

Instructors should have good computer skills, be familiar with concepts of quality and statistics, have good organisational skills as well as have understanding about economics and have good team building skills.

Guidelines about safety rules, dress code , behaviour and attitude to be observed in Lab should be known. Occupational health and safety officer should be available to administer proper guidelines and do regular checks, to prevent work related injuries and accidents In addition to this the instructor should be well trained in how to manage or handle such a situation.

I have and will continue to promote safety FIRST every day. This will embed it into the student's brain. If it is a reminder every day, they're less likely to injure themselves or others, however, accidents do happen. Having a class discussion about the safety policy will help them to retain it.

It is important to remember that all students do not learn in the same manner.

Safety is high on my list of improving this year. Documentation of what was signed and when. I think that will help my students feel safe and me feel I have covered my bases for the school.

Good information. I have a hard time writing rubrics but this section really helped me see some ways I can help make them better.

I go over all of my safety on the first day of class and let them know what will haopen if. They are caught doing something wro in the lab

This was harder for me. I think it will take some extra study to get it right.

Safety is so important. I need to do a better job recording what I have taught and have them take tests to prove they know the rules

Safety is the primary concern for many educators, students and family and should be taken very seriously. Continously reminding of rules and posting of safety rules in the lab environment are key.

Pay attention to the safety guidelines

The instructor must maintain responsibility for the actions of students and reinforce safety standards

Working in the type of laboratory setting as identified in this module is not familiar to me, but if I were instructing in that setting, I would apply all principles learned.

Be sure to keep safety as the utmost importance.
