This course show me better ways to handle behavioral problems.

I have learned about the 4 styles of classroom management and have found that I most meet that of the guide.

Safety is a huge part of my shop and every student has been taught about PPE. I constintly has to remind my stundents to wear their safety glasses. Be safe in the construction industry is a life or death situation everyday. All my students had the get their OSHA 10 prior to using and power tools.

I use a grading rubric to evaluate my students progress. It difinitely helps with the grading process and I haven't gotten questioned on why a specific grade was given.

I teach carpentry and the shop environment is the best way to gauge if my students are grasping what I'm teaching in the classroom. I group them in teams to perform tasks and it is true that the group dynamic affects the out come. I'm going the have to change they way I group students. With carpentry the virtual learning would be really hard the implement being that carpentry is really a hands-on task.

Competency based learning in my feild of teaching works really well (Carpentry). If all the domains are followed properly I beleive they students will learn this trade and leave our school confident in their abilities
