Ensure to always model the behavior you expect of your students. Manage the classroom do not let it manage you, and motivate your students because learning for some is a daughting task. A helpful statement or encouragment might make the difference in a students perception regarding him or herself.

Learning is the goal and the focal point of teaching- not teaching itself. If the students are NOT learning? Then you need to assess the your teaching styles, teaching skills and teaching forte.

Model the behavior you want your students to possess.

Look back over personal experience with instructors. Look at the positive and the challenging instructors to help develop my style of teaching.

Remember the 5 c's everyone does not learn like you do even a student who is learning can teach you something be sharp be consise because you are there to teach them there is always a way to reach them you just have to find it

Show your students that you know your subject well you have years of experience but you can still learn you don't know everything and even a student can teach a teacher treat everyone how you want to be taught everyone learns a little differently

"Learning is the most important thing going on in the classroom/laboratory, not teaching. This is student-first teaching."

Always be a model, a manager, and a motivator!!

Glad the boundaries between friend and pal were clearly identified, there are so many that don't follow this practice and we unfortunately hear about it on national news.  Credible + ethical = good example

I really enjoyed this module and took a lot of great notes and have some things I like to work on. My take-away is that I need to model the behavior that I want my students to model. If I want them to have a successful career in HIT and I am constantly telling them this, then I need to make sure I am following suit.

There are so many takeaways from this section. But, I really agree with the 3 roles of an instructor. As an instructor, I have found myself in all 3 roles. But, feel that I really like to motivate the students more than anything.

Lead by example. Let my past experiences help me in my journey.

Being a manager, leader and the motivator: always have this 3 in your mind coming to class.

Be professional in all aspects of teaching. Dress...attitude...etc.

Incorporating your experiences will help students grasp knowledge of different types of procedures and situations that can happen in the clinical setting.

I agree with Michelle, being a model, a manager and a motivator are important roles instructor should possess.

Model the behavior that you are asking of the students and consult your peers for best practices.

Lead by example. You do not know it all.

You are Not the smartest. Be a role model of good examples.

Practice, observe, revise, question, feedback, a continuous improvement project is how one develops as an instructor.

Style is more about projecting care and concern, wanting the best for the students.
