I really took to point the discussions about being yourself when you are trying to establish your teaching style and how things can go sideways if you try to emulate or act differently. I feel that being true to yourself and confident in the knowledge we have acquired in the field will help our students pick up on this and feel confident in the material we teach.
Convince the students that you:
- Love the subject
- Love them
To motivate students, you most show the 5 "c's" and be enthusiatic about the subject you are teaching.
Professionalism and being a competent instructor
Be excited about being there to instructor them in this subject. Don't assume you are the smartest person in the room. Lead my example and listen to your students so you can become a more effective instructor. Always be prepared to adjust your approach to become a more effective instructor. Never stop learning.
Lead by example. You as the leader must always take point.

That is so true! In order to have an environment to learn, we need to be motivators in our areas of expertise!

I think this module was an effective reminder that as an instructor, I am responsible to lead the class by example and motivate them to try their best.
My key take away point was don't approach the class with the attitude of showing how smart I am or how competent, but let students see how much I love the subject and them as well.

A an instructor i will begin workin gon my personal developement plan. As a new instructor I have a great dal to learn.
Model and lead by example. What you do, how you say things, and how you dress makes a huge impact on your students.
We're not just teachers, we are role models, managers, and motivators. We have to lead by example and stay professional.

Some classes can be challenging to teach and some classes can be easy even though each class subject is the same.
Instructors need to be proficient in a wide variety of areas. Instructors need to have a plan for how they are going to learn new information and techniques that will make them better instructors.
