Prior proper planning prevents poor performance

Planning and preparation will only take you so far... then you have to execute the plan for everthing to be affective.

I’ve learned that effective planning and preparation are the foundation of successful teaching. Taking the time to organize lessons, set clear objectives, and prepare materials in advance helps create a smoother learning experience for students. It also boosts my confidence and allows me to respond better to unexpected questions or situations in the classroom. Good preparation sets the tone for a focused and engaging learning environment.

This module explains the importance of preparation. Using syllabus, creating objectives and outlines while ensuring policies are being followed are all essential for being an effective teacher. Careful and early planning as well as making checklists are ways to help keep instructors prepared and keep students in the flow of learning.

The foundations of effective management are planning and preparation.  All of the lessons presented in the module are applicable in most endeavors whether it be in learning or business environments.  Success is dependent on how you plan and prepare for the tasks that lay ahead.

Being a prepared instructor involves thorough planning and execution. Effective preparation minimizes classroom management issues and fosters a positive learning environment for all.

It's important to do good lesson planning for organizing materials and help support students.

Proper planning and time management is very important for creating a successful learning environment for students. If the instructor is unorganized the material taught will be too. Giving students a clear concise expectation for what to expect will also benefit them.

Be prepared in order to be efficient in the learning process!

Be prepared, coming in early, and have clear communication with the students.

Planning has a positive impact on teaching. arriving to class early allows you to prepare for the course, and familiarize yourself with the students.

I have learned that being prepared for the lesson is more than just knowing the material. Show up on time (15 minutes early) and prep the room. Make a check list of everything that needs to be done. Be open to change and input from others.

What I've learned is having a well developed syllabus gives students a guide of the course and may answer questions students have. A clear to help understand expectations and outcomes of the course.

Including all course details, expectations and your information are vital for student success.  The syllabus acts as a road map for the students during the term. In addition, being prepared for class will ease nervousness for yourself, and will demonstrate professionalism and credibility.

Think of your syllabus as your students’ GPS, give them clear no-nonsense directions so they don’t end up lost three weeks in, asking, ‘Wait… we had homework?’

Laying out expectations upfront helps them know exactly what’s coming. Set goals, create structure, and stay organized because chaos is only fun in movies, not in classrooms.

I learned that planning and preparation can provide a certain level of comfort if done right.

Using the syllabus is the road map of how the class will go and also greeting them as they come in, helps them feel comfortable and yourself.

Objectives should be very clear so students should know what they need to be able to demonstrate competency in or techniques in order to achieve the overall goals.

Early bird gets the checklist it sounds like. Making sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there in the mornings and ease into the start of your day compared to flying into the class room and throwing your jacket down and getting right into it does not seem to work well with the students.

I have found myself rounding up equipment several times during the period of greeting students on many occasions, or also being kicked out of canvas and needing to reset a password last minute, i will be aware of how that reflects on students optics, the A,B,C,D points to evaluate goals is great and will use that in the future
