My largest take-aways from this course would be to continue learning, remember to stay professional in appearance and procedure, and to be sure to continue my own educational growth.
I've learned that no matter how busy my schedule may be that setting aside the time for my professional development is not only important for my career but for my current and future students. Enriching my skills as an instructor will improve my courses for my students as well as myself.
Leading by example and always adapting to the environment.
Instructors are also role models and are held accountable for many different aspects other than teaching. Professionalism is not only how you dress and present yourself, it is also your attitude towards others. It is important to always be willing to learn and grow as an educator because it is not only a teaching enviornment, but also a learning one, and as instructors we can always grow to better accomodate our students needs.
Having a clear understanding of the three roles that you are reflecting as an instructor model, manager, and motivator. The students will pick up on the fact that you actually love what you do and want to teach them about it.

It all starts with me the Instructor
I learned that I need to lead by example. Basically, you get out what you put in.
I've learned to always be professional and be prepared before class begins to maximize student learning
Model the way I would like the students to behave. Be interactive and excited about the subjects and show them their progress within their program.
The 3 major competencies to succeed in the instructional process are technical, professional and personal.
Professionalism is a key element to teaching.
I've learned that you need to be confident and knowledgeable about your subject matter, but be humble as there are people who may be smarter than you in your class. Learn from past experiences, what type of instructors have you had and how did they help or make things difficult for you? Never assume that each class will be the same, get to know your students and understand how they learn. Be a resource for students, not just their instructor. Always be professional and have a plan. And last but not least, be proactive in your own learning, stay up to date in new technologies and materials pertaining to the profession you are teaching.
Although your resume is important, it is more important to demonstrate professionalism through how you interact with students, how you lead them, connect with them, and even appear.
Always act in a professional manner whether it's with your students and/or your peers. If and when problems arise, remain cool and always handle situations in a professional, respectful, and courteous way.
You develop as an instructor in many different ways and having a professional development is pivitol in ensuring that you continue to grow as an instructor.
Be prepared, on time and humble. Lacking these will make it difficult to ask the same of your students.
