Comment on Mariana Ribeiro's post: I agree with your post. Reading through everything so far has made me realize the importance of using a notebook to stay organized and on top of important information.
I have learned the importance of making a reference notebook and keeping it up to date. I learned it is not only my managers responsibility to make sure I am up to date on information. it falls on me. So I will be sure to keep things up to date and check state regulations on a regular basis.
Florida has specific requirements understanding FL statues when helping FL students pursue higher education. In taking this course we become agents/experts to follow FL guidelines when attending our institution.
I received good information from this module. I will continue to keep everything in mind when representing the school with integrity and compliance.
Although I been in the post-secondary industry for nearly 21 years, I pick up something new every year completing this training.
I appreciate the reminder of not only being familiar with FL Statutes but also the FL Admin Code Commission Rules. I made sure to save a copy.
A lot of great information was provided.
Hello! As an admissions coordinator it is important to implement these policies and regulations in my everyday work. I have found this article very insightful.
It is good to know what student options are best
I have learned many key terms that will be useful in my field of work.
Training is an on-going learning and not just a one time event.
I learn thus far about admissions terms that are needed to know in order to do my job to the very best of my ability.
We as Admissions professional should restudy every year this course, to be up to date and to refresh all the concepts.
Comment on KayeDee Parrish's post: Correct. Admissions trining is an ongoing process to be done every year. not just once.
I have gained an understanding of the requirement that all Admissions personnel must complete training prior to working in the role, terms and definitions that are important and the importance of starting a Resource Handbook and keeping it updated with the most recent information. I intend to use the information learned to start a resource handbook for the institution and for those individuals that will be working in the Admissions role
On this modual i leanred that you need to keep a resourse notebook because it will constantly be updating paper.
i also learned that is good to keep around the Florida-Post Secondary admissions .
Good morning,
I have refreshed my memory on the importance of knowing everything about what the institution has to offer and the policies within the school. It really enforced the importance of the terminology used as well to show credibility for the school.
I've learned the value of keeping up to date on the compliance policies and regulations surrounding my institutions between itself and the students it serves as Title IV school. Admissions staff should be informed on current statutes and policies which frame their ability to serve prospective students.
As an admissions representative I have learned the importance of the terminology, policies, procedures, regulation and the usage of a notebook to study which will aid me in presenting information clearly to any and all prospective students.
