I have learned that is is best practice to reward peers who correctly and completely answer questions for fellow students in both synchronous, and especially asynchronous, environments.
The consistancy of the course design helps the student learn what they are required to learn.
I have learned about the multiple ways to use LMS technology.
I'm curious about the peer-to-peer aspect in an asynchronous class . . . Does anyone have experience allowing students to answer each other's questions in an FAQ discussion area?
I learned about synchronous and asynchronous teaching and the pros and cons of each.
This lesson highlights the importance of importance of clear guidelines and matching teaching methods with the course content. I like how it also highlights the importance of the instructor's skills and intentions in designing the course. It made me favor synchronous delivery of materials.
My takeaway from this lesson is that students need to know "where we are going," or they will be lost in the process. Learning outcimes must be communicated by the instructor, found in the syllabus, and understood by the students.
Teaching patterns in AMT (Aircraft Maintenance Technicians) training enhances learning by utilizing more than simple memorization, but a deeper understanding of complex systems. Teaching patterns help develop problem-solving skills, improve the ability to apply higher knowledge to new scenarios, and increase efficiency and accuracy in tasks, which are all critical for aircraft safety. This approach also builds transferable skills and facilitates learning new technologies and skills, while preparing technicians for a dynamic and evolving industry.
This module provides information about the importance of organization of the content of the course. It does not matter if the course is asynchronous or synchronous, but it must be organized.

Seek what the best method is for synchronous or asynchronous teaching is in your teaching environment. Then organization and communication are a key factor in teaching.
I learned that whether the course is synchronous or asynchronous, the content must be organized in a way so students can navigate it quickly. While both methods have disadvantages, maintaining consistency is key.
I find most students struggle with asynchronous learning.
What I have learned is that it is essential to have assignments and delivery methods that align with the course objectives, whether on-ground or online.
From this module, I learned how important it is to choose between synchronous and asynchronous teaching methods based on course goals, student needs, and teaching style, while also maintaining clear guidelines and organization. I plan to apply this by organizing my online courses in a consistent, student-friendly structure and setting clear expectations, while blending both methods to balance flexibility with interaction.

One of the big under talked things is that students do not feel asynchronous learning is as strong as synchronous.
