With this module, I have gained a deeper understanding of the diverse characteristics that influence student learning. Recognizing these differences allows me to adapt my approach when advising and supporting students, ensuring that I provide appropriate guidance and communication that aligns with their needs.

I appreciate the relationship between intrinsic and extrinsic motivation. This will help me focus on best ways to help students. Going through this portion of the course, I realize anew how many right things the organization I work within is doing. I am proud to teach hers.

It helped to understand the needs of students.

Understanding that the needs of the student are different for each and every student.

1) Understand a students limitations and goals to better help them.

2) Use there life experiences in the class

Understanding student's characteristics can be vital when it comes to building a connection and developing a relationship with your class.

Paying attention to the different needs of different students in essential in maintaining their confidence and consistency throughout the course.

A great pointer is that when a student is struggling and also complaining, it is important to acknowledge their struggles and help them find a solution, however staying professional as an instructor and not get stuck in the complaint with the student.

I am enjoying this class and will be implementing some of the strategies in the classroom. Maslow's hierarchy of needs is something I have learned before and find very helpful and interesting. All humans really need all of these needs in order to live their best lives; academically, professionally, personally, and spiritually.

This course was helpful in educating instructors on the diversity of their classes and how to handle that diversity. Students come from all walks of life and are often motivated and learn in different ways. Us as instructors are trusted to provide students with individualized learning plans. By catering our teaching to meet the needs of each student they feel more heard and actively involved in their education. Addressing issues such as impersonal problems, people problems, issues with rules and limitations help the student adapt to the environment making learning easier and more enjoyable.

Cognitive and emotional development impact how students process and retain information. Understanding individual differences helps in creating inclusive learning environments.

In your classes you will have students from all walks of life. Understanding this and paying attention to how your students vary from one another is key for student retention. You must be versatile in your teaching approach to better suit your students, and be aware that what works for some students may not work for others. Getting to know your students and making them feel heard and understood is important to build rapport and keeping your students motivated. Learning how to handle grievances and conflict with students in an effective manner is important for keeping morale up in your classroom. Balancing your teaching style and staying vigilant towards your students differences and needs will enhance their education experience.

The best ways to get students engaged in a course or class is to appeal to whatever motivates them. This is usually one of the following things: pride, knowledge, self improvement, or the prospect of gainful employment. If you are able to appeal to one of those it will make a student getting engaged in a course or class much easier and improve the learning environment.

Student retention comes from you learning about the students taking time to listen .Build a report with them see what they need and how they all learn to make the expierence a great one

The needs of adults in higher education spaces can be varied and respond to different needs or previous experiences.
The structure of the educational organization must provide a level of physical and emotional support that promotes the adult's feeling of security and confidence.

The tutor must have clear positions and defined purposes to establish a relationship of trust and harmony between him and his students.  Although you should not go overboard to the point of being the students' babysitter, your empathetic and responsive capacity will be one of the pillars that supports how to learn in the classroom.

This course gave me insight to assess the students different learning experiences. I currently practice this daily in my work.

I have a better understanding of how to reach the diverse population of our students.  The course provided some value concepts, strategies and insights. Many of our students come with language barriers.  Many adult learners are afraid of academics but also social fear on how they will fit in.  I learned that student frustration can be a retaliation tactic. Many of our learns wonder what their peers think of them.

By reviewing this module I have learned about how to understand students and their reasons for attending school and different reasons for why they might want to attend. Learning more about the students might help the instructor on alternating their teaching style and methods to accommodate the students learning abilities. I believe being hands on in the classroom and providing demonstrations and visuals to the students will help them understand the course materials.

Great information on learning where students have been and what their goals are to help you in guiding them through class. Also to keep an eye out for warning signs of things that may be inhibiting them in moving toward their goals.

What I received is how to deal with students when they find the learning difficult to receive and to offer them more understanding and support.
