Model, Manage, Motivate were the biggest take always. I will use that as focus for the overall picture of an instructor.
How to exemplify and model Professionalism across the board with my students and my fellow peers and faculty.
Be passionate about the subject you're teaching. Imbue excitement for your students to learn and become what they aspire to be.
The effort you place into your teaching ability will manifest as improvements with student communication.
We have to be Professional at all times and everything we do in the classroom and outside the classroom students will remember. The 5 Cs are also an area that I can take away and always keep those in mind.
I learned different ways an instructor can be a professional example to students. I also learned that the way I present myself is actually considered a style of an instructor. I will greet my students at the door when they enter the classroom.
Be professional. Watch other instructors in the classroom and see what is successful to use.
Be the example of a professional in the field to the student
I agree with Cecy! I love the 5 C's model. It works and it is efficient.
The develop plan points concerning effective strategies were on point and great advice for all.
As a parent and instructor, I stress good hygiene and time management.
Definitively, lead by example.
Excitement is contagious.
Leading by example is so important and very much noticed by students!
Be as professional as possible, but also be compassionate and model the behavior you would want your students to model.
Lead by example in speech, respect, approach-ability, dress and subject knowledge.
As a teacher I need to lead my students to success, making sure I know the material and being confident in delivering it. Staying organized and ahead can set me up for successful teaching.
It has been my motto is engaging student...be a good role model and truly listen to what they are asking!!
Comment on Antonette Antonio's post:
Having a professional development plan to stay current in your knowledge base, and to identify/develop new skills that can help you in becoming a better instructor.
The success of an instructor is based on your development of three roles: model, manager and motivator.
