It is important to lead by example, as you are the model for the students as an instructor. Set good principles to set up students for success.

Nice review of the importance of continued growth as an instructor and in your areas of specialty.

You can act professionally, by acting professionally.

Plan properly, provide feedback and share your enthusiasm.

As an educator I should always be learning new skills and information as well as working on ways to enhance my way of teaching to make sure I'm reaching my target audience.

Model the behavior you want your students to follow.

Let your behavior be the example of the professional expectations you have of your students. Practice what you preach or teach!

Model professionalism, motivate, show enthusiasm for the subject

I loved seeing the clips from the professor talking about teaching. My takeaway from him was to be passionate and engaged in the subject matter, which he not only stated, but clearly showed by example.

Learning from past instructors (good and bad) to take elements of their learning styles to create my own. Students want to learn, and the goal of the classroom is education, but you're even teaching things like professionalism.

Reviewing all of the material in this module, I have learned that it is very important to realize that the student comes first, and not the teacher. Also, it is all important that we motivate the students and get them excited about learning, manage our time efficiently, be a good model for them and set the example. I have a great saying that I thought of regarding benefitting the students' work, "Be Clear, Succinct, and Unambiguous" (Breckenridge, 2020).

"Let's Keep It Moving, We've Got Work To Do"

~Dr. Breckenridge~

Students don't need a friend, they need a leader, and not one who knows ever answer to every question. They need to know where to find resources, what is expected of them, and positive reinforcement. Structure, with your own personal flair.

Instructors modeling professionalism and the importance of career development. The use of different instructional styles and taking students experiences into consideration when teaching all makes teaching fun and impactful.

Model and motivate

Learned always growth. I want to sit in and learn from peers.

The 5 C love that as well .... Credible, Candid, Compassionate, Committed and Clear.

Keeping control of class and motivation.

We need to lead professionalism as an example and be mindful on how we handle situations, give lectures and how we approach certain issues. Being ready for everything the time its intended to start shows professionalism plus lets students know you will expect the same from them.

Lead by example - students cannot be expected to be on time and paying attention if the instructor is constantly late and is on their phone

I learned to lead by example. Motivate students, use fellow instructors for a resource.

As a leader I will always model professionalism in the work place by being early, not on time, being present, and being accountable for everything I am teaching my students. I will be the best example for my students.

Prior knowledge counts and need to be used.
