The right tracking software for you.

I think it is safe to say that tracking leads from start to finish is the achllies' heal for all educational institutions. How do you track your leads as close to 100% as possible? The link example, Campus2000, seems to be a great option but one would like to investigate as many as possible. Are there any other tracking system softwares out on the market that come highly recommended? As expected, this online course is packed with great resources and to move forward to streamlining our institution or any other institution for that matter, a top class tracking system is needed before anyone of us can moved forward fully. With that being said, I welcome any tracking systems recommendations and/or reviews.

Empathy and Sympathy

I sometimes have a hard time between the two. I understand the two but I still get them fixed up.

Listening skills

I have been taking courses about listening better. I have improved very much but still feel I can continue to improve in this area.

Communication

I really found this course to be much better than I had anticipated. This was my first time taking an online course. It was challenging but at the same time very informative. I really enjoyed it very much.

Put in Practice

Many great points stated. All I can say is that I will be reviewing the topics in this sections to see what our institution can put into play. One this is recording information. I believe in the power of information. We do not go a good enough job in recoding results, etc from our advertising and marketing efforts. Looking forward to using some of these topics in bring some light to our institution.

Internet Marketing

Hello All! Internet marketing to reach leads is nothing new. Companies far and wide invest in this medium to promote their businesses and they should. How to reach new customers is changing. It is becoming social. The TV age lasted over 50 years. Yes a long time. Companies spends million for creative advertising agencies to create new witty ads. But there is the problem. We are bombarded with thousands of ads per day and almost all get blocked out. People turn to their social groups. Deep down we all know that we are not going to talk to our friends about something average or boring. We are going to talk about something worth talking about. So instead of sinking millions into ads that will get washed out, lets reevaluate our product, make it unique and interesting, turn to the social media to communicate it to our niche, have it talked about because it is unique then create new business. Put the millions for TV advertising into research and developing of new exciting offerings/courses, etc.

Personal Hygiene

This is an issue for me. I sometimes feel unsure of the way I may come across when bringing it up to a potential student how important it is that they keep up with hygiene

Event Post-Mortem - SWOT Analysis

As part of one of our post event reviews, I incorporated the use of the SWOT analysis tool which allow our Organizing and Implementation Team to go over the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the held event. These then form the starting block for the Team as they look forward to improve the planning and execution for the next year. It worked great because all comments and observations, like in a brainstorm, are welcomed.

Communication

Hello Group, This was a basic review of communication. Interrupting while listening is something I am aware that I need to work on. This was a great reminder. Thank you!

when they only want the cost and class schedule with no tour

How do you handle someone that only wants to basics and won't go on a tour with you and say their time is limited and they are just comparing schools anyway.

tuff parents on a tour

When you know the parents are not happy with their child's choice in attending your school. How do you get them to see the benefit of it?

Tone of voice

Tone of voice I feel would be important to communicate with your prospect because you can reflect different levels of excitment and tone.

Having a positive approach

I feel when you are on a one and one discussion with a prospect or student that you should a positive approch and build excitment will make the prospect feel more excited.

We've Never Met

I've use we've never met or you don't know me personally or the work I do when introducing my self to a referral if needed in order to engange conversation.

Your Most Challenging Obstacles

The most challenging obtacle I find is setting the appointment with a spouse, significant other, parent or other form of buying committee. I normally ask about their relationships with any other individuals in their decision making process.

Questions to elicit information

I've used simple probing questions such as: What made you interested in.....? Why do you want to be.....? You requested information because.....? How did you find out about.....? How long have you been interested.....? Are you related or do you know someone who.....?

what to do when you can not stop talking

what to do when you can not stop talking? abd you have a long line of studens?

aggressive students

When the student crosses the line ... is appropriate respecting the dialogue cut?

Body language

I definetly agree that body language is very important when communicating with someone. Students should feel welcome not like they are bothering you.

Professional emails

Nowadays people tend to write emails like they do text messages. Emails from work should be professional.
