Meditation works

As a professional who also suffers from an anxiety disorder and PTSD, even minor stressors can send me spiraling.  Having a good support network and access to healthcare is huge, but in the smaller day-to-day scenarios sometimes it is important to know when to step away for five to ten minutes to just clear your mind and focus on your breathing.  This technique has helped me avoid panic attacks and lower blood pressure.  

Manager's Tip

Always listen to an employee, understand what they are trying to state. Repeat it back so they hear that you understand, then provide your own thoughts on the issue.

Learned lessons

It's a very good tutorial. I learned about tres key aspects  of self improvement: The necesity to know our strenghts and weakenesses, the importance of ethics standars and the impact of our behabior over others. I´ll to share this knowledges with my partners

As an instructor , It is very important to become an active listner and not just to answer question, but hear the students. The non verbal cues are also a great tool for hearing students out.

Stress

I have found that when I get stressed out at work I need to stop and ask for help if I need it. I also have found that spending time with my family and animals helps me out.

Challenges

I have found that if I lead by doing and helping out my employees then the team seems to follow and we all work better together.

How to Combat Stress

The best way to combat stress is to focus on the things you can control and to put aside the things you can't control.

Stress and anxiety that come about in certain situations in life are a result of trying to do the things that can't be controlled. 

If people learned how to focus more on what they can do, it would take away the worry/anxiety from the unknowns in the trials of life.

This is something, I believe, everyone struggles with and I plan to work on this in my life as well.

Some of our biggest challenges as instructors is deraling with new students each semester. Every student has their own personality and handling those personalities can be a huge challenge.

Handling Stress

It's interesting to learn that there is positive and negative stress. It feels like stress is more frequently portrayed as a negative stress, but assuring to know that stress can be both positive and negative. As long as you can recognize the difference between the two, managing stress can become easier to handle and gives you a clearer definition when you reach that fork in the road to handle it accordingly.

Its important to understand your boss's style of leadership and adjust accordingly. That , one's behavior determines the boss's response to them. Getting along with the boss and others is critical to successful work environment. Don't assume the worst of your boss and try your best to support them. Treat others as you would like to be treated. Set clear goals, targets and how to meet them. Communication, trust and positive work environment is important for organization success.
