DO BETTER

i will take the knowledge and applied/learned from this brief course and apply it my workplace

Stress

In the past I continually would be overwhelmed by everything; stress was my lifestyle. The way I was able to turn around and live virtually stress free is because God, my higher power. He helps as I turn to Him for guidance. This way of life is how I will to continue to live.

Respect

Even though no one likes to be told no, or a negative response compared to what was expected, being honest is the best answer. One of the many things I have taught my kids, the truth sometimes hurts, but be sweet if it is something that will hurt someone. I enjoy following up with everyone that has any requests, or needs help.

Effective

Be conscious of my thoughts, before I form words out of them. Make sure I lead by good example to go above and beyond what I need to, for my coworkers, and company. Always be aware of people needs, even when none is vocalized. Some challenges would be not to overstep, and form words that encourage when making suggestions that might come across has hurtful.

Stress management

I have learned through life experiences and this course the we have to let the stuff out our control go so it doesn't add to stress we already encounter day to day. I believe talking to people and not thinking you are alone in any issue is vital. We have to take care of ourselves if we want to be of any use to others.

Lead by example = critical

I believe the most important part of this training was realizing how critical it is to lead by example.

stress

I will try to control only what I can, make sure that I take time to regroup and recharge

What I Learned

The level of stress I am currently at is a healthy level. I know reasons to seek help if I am struggling and signs that I need to spend more time caring for myself.

Include everyone in decision making

I've learned that including everyone in the decision making can be very important but challenging at the same time. Having so many different opinions is difficult to navigate and trying to make everyone happy can be a challenge but as a manager these are things that need to be addressed.

Best Practices

Do everything you can to help both your boss and your company, while at the same time not overrunning or offendingyour boss

get organized

I plan to use some of the organization skills taught in the course.

Periodic affirmations

Although these ideas may seem simple, they require constant reminders and periodic reinforcement, as daily work practices can sometimes lead us slightly astray. Therefore, they are all important when managing any team

Know Yourself

I learned how to make sure I "walk the walk"

Self

I have found way to communicate better int he office with management and coworkers that best fits our office. I feel if I need to speak with my manger I know when a good time is to do so and etc.

Push Forward

Every day comes with new issues, and more stress. Let's not worry about yesterdays' stress, manage today. Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome. Seek advice from a fellow instructor or a friend. Take each situation slow and think clearly. Make small steps towards your goal, and you will prevail. We can beat the stress together.

Time for change

I am ready to have healthy boundaries
