Activity

Teaching students how to understand the roles and responsibilities of the jobs they are going to be working helps them understand the scope of practice or limitations they will have in the real world setting.  Making sure they are aware all aspects of a project or assignment will help them work more successfully as a team.

I think by demonstrating I can be a considerate leader will help my students feel more open to expressing any difficulties they may be having.  This doesn't mean I have to be buddy-buddy with them, but it allows them to know I am approachable and willing to help when they face problems.

Letting students generate ideas and custom their work process will allow for more successful idea generation and project completion.  Allowing them independence will generate more creative ideas and solutions to problems, while giving them a voice.

Being able to creatively discuss ideas and solutions will be important skills for my students to develop. By working through multiple ways of idea generation will allow them to think outside the box and not get discouraged throughout the creative process.  This will generate various ideas from multiple POVs allowing students to have open and creative dialogue.

When giving student feedback, I will make sure to give it in a timely manner and be focused on specific issues.  This will allow for the communication to be direct and concise, but also allow for the student to have time to correct any mistakes or errors in a timely fashion.

Making sure information that is provided is clear and concise.  This will allow for ideas and communication to be more effective.

I will provide various communication methods to work with students.  By providing specific instructions, I will be able to set clear expectations and give specific feedback.

I need to implement and practice ways to reduce stress at work and at home.  Take time for myself and create a plan for getting things completed.

Will lead students by example and hold them to the same standards as myself.
