Lead by example

This tutorial offered a great reminder of how important it is to lead by example. People are always watching and listening to us. If we want our colleagues to arrive and leave on time, we must do the same. I am also thinking more about specific goals that are better positioned for action as opposed to broad statements that are harder to work on.

Personal Impact on others

In this lesson I learned that what you do matters. It is always important to lead by example.

Useful

This was very helpful with identifying personal growth opportunities

Silent role model

A solid ethical approach will be to follow guidelines and seek appropriate channels to discuss any concerns. Being a silent role model by following proper protocols automatically provides an exemplar for others to follow.

Leading through modeling

This tutorial reinforced my understanding and experience that leading through modeling desired behaviors is one of the best methods to achieve group and individual goals for a workplace.

Wisdom gained

I found this a great refresher for those of us who have been employed for 20+ years going into a field with mostly young coworkers and no immediate understanding of current work force.

Lead by example

Your influence on others is greater than you think.

lead by example

make sure that you are doing the best that you can do and if someone else comes up with an idea, do not take it as yours give credit where credit is due!

Be the example

best practice is to lead by example and give credit where credit is due

Leadership

Always lead by example, actions usually speak louder than words. Keep yourself accountable and then you have the right to keep others the same. Try not to complain and never complain to those below you. Have positive solutions for issues, not excuses. Utilize your chain of command correctly, do not overstep. Stay positive, get your tasks done before making sure others have theirs done. Delegate where necessary and make sure what you ask is done to the standard.

How to Reduce Stress

I learned that positive distractions outside of work like hobbies can help reduce stress.

Wisdom, best practices, action plan!

Best practices for me have been to practice infection control at all times, stay organized, and continue education in cosmetology and esthetics; always trying to correct mistakes as they occur.

Reducing Stress In The WorkPlace

Learning how to reduce stress in the workplace, is all about knowing when to slow down and taking care of the most important things you are interested in and enjoy the most first, then take care of the things most difficult, making a little extra time for the more challenging things.

Stress in the work place

I learned things I can't change I can't worry about it!

Handeling Stress

I have learned that all stress is not bad stress, but you must be aware that stress will come so you could be prepared to deal with it.

Facts about Stress

I've learned that positive stress is a helpful form of pressure that motivates people to perform better, stay focused, and achieve goals, such as preparing for an exam or starting a new job. In contrast, negative stress occurs when pressure becomes overwhelming, leading to anxiety, fatigue, and reduced performance. While a moderate level of stress can enhance productivity, excessive or prolonged stress can harm both mental and physical health, making it important to manage stress effectively.

Self- reflection: ethical decisions for leaders

While reviewing this course, a quote about ethics within the workplace really stood out to me: "unethical decisions often come from working in isolation." As an [informal] leader, I strive to bring my team together by representing and upholding my own personal values and the values projected by my organization. This quote really struck out because it reminded me of how I used to feel: isolated. In my isolation (both in my personal and professional life), I became the worse version of myself. Thankfully, I was made connections that encouraged me to leave my previous environment and take another opportunity.… >>>

WISDOM

Stress is not the enemy but rather the body's natural response to perceived demands. The true wisdom lies in understanding that chronic, unmanaged stress erodes health, relationships, and productivity, while short-term stress can sharpen focus and motivation. Self-awareness is the foundation: recognizing personal triggers, physical signals, and emotional patterns allows individuals to intervene before stress escalates into burnout or illness.

BEST PRACTICES

Effective stress management combines preventive habits with responsive strategies. Daily practices such as physical movement, adequate sleep, mindful breathing, and intentional disconnection from screens build resilience over time. Setting clear boundaries between work and personal life protects… >>>
