Great course with many ideas on how to enhance the classroom experience while maintaining focus on course objectives. It was more than just "how to add fun" to the class.

Great video that mentioned preparing students for success and the inclusion of "soft skills."

Thank you!

I enjoy telling a story that is directly related to the point I am trying to make.  As a police officer there are a lot of story that I can draw on in order to make my point clear

Even though a lot of the information is common sense, it has been an extremely beneficial review. I have learned information to make my tests more effective to measure learning outcome of my students.

Learning Styles

It is always nice to review the learning styles as a review.

Using different test

Utilizing different styles of test and learning tools are a valuble part of Professing our knowledge to adult learners.  Not everyone learns or test the same, providing diversity improves our ability to exchange knowledge and skill sets.

Accelerated Learning in a Simulation Class

I am a Simulation Instructor. It is a great job because I can create scenarios that mimic real - life situations in teaching our students. This course is valuable to me since I can use certain things like peripheral learning, music or the Pygmalion effect to help in the students' learning processes. This also gives me the opportunity to ask more from our students, make them share their life experiences, to enrich our over-all learning. I need to learn and practice more on the instructor's notes and on the logistical notes as well.

Informative. A lot of review, but very important concepts. A great refresher for going into the classroom.

Excellent Training

I have taught at vrioas educarional institutions, but I have not had this level of instructional training ever. i tha ECPI University for the insight and value they place on their faciulty.  I learned more than I have forgotten, most of the training served as a wonderful refresher course.  Although, I would recommend it for everyone. I have already implemented some old teaching techniques and will add a few new ones.

Good learning experience for those new to classroom instruction.  Provided a very good baseline for new faculty.

Extend the wait for answers to questions.

One easy way to extend the thinking time for students to answer questions is to ask:'Are there any other bids?' or maybe "Are there other possibilities?"  By doing this, even when the first response may have been correct students quickly learn that they are free to agree or disagree with the first responder. After doing this several times I don't have to ask the second questin any more.  Just by delaying my response the class begins to contribute more opinions to the discussion.  We can then discuss which ways were the better ways to look at the problem and can… >>>

Success

This instructional form was very helpful the students loved it.

My thoughts for our nursing simulation classes

I intend to add the following for the benefit of nursing students having simulation with me:

1. provide an outline of the activities for the day that we shall have,

2. more elaboration of nursing concepts and application examples so that the students will comprehend these better,

3. more dynamic interaction with the students to find out their learning needs,

4. and more reflection on their part during debriefing to gather their advices and suggestions for the improvement of the succeeding classes that we shall have.

Put Training into Practice

All, during my next course I will put this training into practice. I will inform you about my lessons learned, my successes and my challenges. I already discovered that I am doing a lot of things in the right way, but there is always space for improvement. HG.

What I've Learned

Hello,

I've learned that it's alright to keep on learning as a tutor and I will always want to learn. I love learning and I'm passionate to exchange ideas with people but before this course, I saw the learning side as a student, not as life learner or tutor.

I'm now excited more than anxious and look forward to all I have to learn (good and bad).

Kind regards,

Joanna

WHAT I LEARNED

I learned to take full responsiblility for my students, I also bring up and motivate my students
