There was definitely some very useful information that I will use in my next class.  The course especially has made me re-think the question, 'does anybody have any question?'  I now see where that is a no-no.

Students are hard to assess sometimes.  Coming to school may be a full time job for them, or they may have a full time job already & coming to school is extra.  I try to be sensitive to what students may/may not be going through with in their lives.  I always try to stay positive & show that I care.  I know a smile makes me feel better.  I always try to give a smile to each 'customer' in which I come in contact.

How can I make databases more interesting?  By giving the students a chance to use what they are learning.  For the classes I am lucky enough to teach that have computers for every student, they are walking through the steps with me as I go.  I ask them for topic suggestions for our searching, and try to get them to interact in other ways.  After finishing ED111, I realize that there are still other ways that I can get the students to be more active.  I just have to come way out of my comfort zone to make this happen.… >>>
