In this module I learned to lead by example.

Professional dress, attitude and speech are tantamount to being a good model for the students.

My takeaway from this lesson is that the most important thing in a classroom is the learning rather than teaching. I think it's a more natural thought to think that the teaching is the most important, but the teaching has to move and flow with the peculiarities of each class. The whole point of instructors being there is to make sure that they internalize the information and actually learn. If all we wanted was rote memorization, they could learn everything with a computer.

I've learned more about professionalism and boundaries with students.

I learned professional development is necessary to keep my skills growing.

Students look up to instructors not just a Model but also as Managers and Motivators for them to be successful. Instructors must set as an example because what the students will see is what they will follow.

I was reminded how important passion about your topic of teaching is to the engagement of students.

Model professionalism and be present for students.

Professionalism matters

Lead by example for your students and always remain professional.

Always pay attention to ensure that Learning takes place

As a leader, keep it professional and have an individualized Plan

come to class and show your professionalism, come dressed right speak clearly and confidently.

Model, manage, motivate..  Lead by example and connect with your students early.  Use a teaching style accommodating to them and pay attention to body gestures, language, behaviors.  Always be professional, make sure there are no technicalities during your lessons by preparing early, and deliver with your personality/ demeanor.

To make sure new skills are applied in the classroom and how to incorporate them into my daily routine.

Lead by example in attitude and professionalism.

Remind yourself what you loved about previous teachers. We've all had instructors who made a difference or made class interesting and fun. What can I do as a teacher, using my own strengths and experience, to help motivate the students in a similar way?

Always come to class prepared and ready.

I learned that you have to be both professional and personal to be effective in the classroom.

In addition to functioning as a leader, the course has helped me to come up with strategies to develop techniques to explain complex concepts clearly and concisely, breaking down information into manageable parts.

Have patience, compassion, and professionalism.
