Proper preparation is key to delivering an effective lesson to students. Being able to adjust teaching styles will help to maximize the amount of students that retain the information being given.

I like the idea that the syllabus is a contract between instructor and student about what objectives should be met within a given time-frame. 

Presenting myself as a model instructor requires maintaining a professional demeanor at all times. There are attitudes and manners of speaking, common in the industry, that have no place in an instructional setting. While I should project the model of an industry professional, I must be sure to maintain the professionalism expected of an instructor.
