It is so important to portray professionalism at all times when instructing a classroom. Your appearance, behavior, and demeanor are on full display each day as an educator. You must lead by example always and encourage your students to follow suit.

Be professional, kind and knowledgeable, do not be arrogant just be confident and always remember not everyone learns the same.

The three major roles played by instructors are:

  • Model
  • Manager
  • Motivator

Implementing will require me to focus on creating a dynamic learning environment, providing personalized support and fostering critical thinking and active engagement.

I enjoyed this portion. I am a firm believer in modeling professional behavior for students to admire and hopefully follow. I have insight on how to break down what professionalism looks like and what it contains. I observe students knowing this word but struggling to define and model it. I will be using better tools to explain this part of becoming a career minded person.

Each and every group of students differs from class to class/ As instructors we must be flexible and fluid to provide the best educational experience for each unique group.

It was a good reminder that confidence can be interpreted as arrogance if presented the wrong way.

To be a model to follow by the students.  Always use proper professional language when addressing everyone (making it a habit). By dressing accordingly and acting the part (HVAC technician at the highest professional level) you could gain respect and admiration from your students.

I have learned about different teaching styles and ways to implement/recognize when they need to be changed to help students who learn in a variety of different way. I have also learned that I need to project what I want for my students to learn through modeling my behavior to include arriving to class early, engaging with them pre/post class, dressing professionally, etc.

I have learned from this module is how to become more effective as an instructor. Becoming comfortable, confident, knowledgeable about the topic you are teaching is very important. As I went through the information, I was able to come up with different things that can help me become better at teaching as well as help me build a great system for students to be successful.

I learned professionalism includes punctuality, hygiene and having instructional content ready is essential to become a role model for students. Instructors are to be role models, managers and motivators in their classroom.

I have learned in this how to stay sharp on information giving during class.

Professionalism can manifest different ways from your expertise to your appearance to your interactions with your students.

I have learned to from this module ways to sharpen my teaching and at all times keeping professionalism. Being that person for students to look up to as an example or role model.

How to be e better motivator. The importance of engaging students. Making learning fun. Be a leader, be confident.

Being disciplined on my conduct in the classroom and setting the standard on how to act in both a professional and classroom setting to the students. I strongly believe mutual respect is a must in developing a professional relationship with both my colleagues and students.

I have learned how to present myself in my appearance. Being on time and interactions with all students should be accomplished in a professional manner.

Utilizing my peers as a resource can help me develop as an instructor. Bringing my best self in the way I speak, look and treat those around me will set the tone for professional expectations for each student. Arrive early because on time is late when you have so many others to motivate.

I have learned that the classroom is for learning and not teaching. The priority of the class is the students learning.

This module helped me understand that I must be a model, a manager and a motivator for my students. Knowing your subject matter is very important, but knowing your students names and things about them is also important. You can model to your students by being on time, dressing professionally and speaking with confidence. By being a manager to your students, you are ensuring that everything comes together; their knowledge, their skills and their success. You can not become their friend, but be sympathetic and compassionate to their issues. I also learned that your instructional style combines competency and personality to inform encourage and instruct students.

I've learned that as an instructor I need to be a model, motivator and manager for my students. Treat others with respect and have active listening skills. Having good planning skills and be able to execute the plan with engagement.
