The many different components of enrollment. I had overlooked some in the past.

The importance of delivering clear and accurate information to all applicants, online enrollment guide and rules.

I leaned that the Florida Commission for Independent Education holds meetings six times a year in Central Florida. This provides six opportunities for staff to attend. The meetings are also televised so that those who cannot travel can be given the time to watch the state regulatory agency in action.

Compliance is essential for an institution to thrive and succeed. Following the rules is just good business sense.

I was not aware that the CIE meetings were open to the public.

All staff should read through their institution Catalog and have a copy readily accessible. Catalogs are updated and revised from time to time, and it is important to review and understand those updates as they occur. Additionally Student Handbooks are sources of information that staff members should familiarize themselves with to help understand the rules and policies of your institution.

The importance of delivering clear and accurate information to all applicants. Very important to keep a catalog closer to you at all time.

This module taught me that there is a different component that needs to be added to an enrollment agreement. As well as delivering accurate information to all potential students.

I learned that compliance is essential, it is important to follow up with the admissions department just to confirm that all the information that is provided is accurate and up to date.

This module has continued to drive home the fact that compliance is just so important! You need to make sure you're following all of the rules and regulations and keeping them in mind when speaking to prospective students.

Our main task as admissions representatives is to match the program requierments with the applicants qualifications so they can be successful in employment. If you feel there could be a better program fit for them, you can make those suggestions since you should have knowledge on all programs your school offers.

Once again, integrity must prevail at all times. Admissions officers nor Financial Aid officers cannot complete FAFSA documents on behalf of students.

There are different laws, rules and regulations that apply for each state.  Must acknowledge the federal department of education guidelines for Title IV, but also must follow the rules and regulations of the state regulatory also.

All Departments must know the guidelines established by the Federal Department of education.  The integrity and ethic are essential part in the Enrollment process.  Admission is the main way to give the better orientation to the Lead so this is one professional in development.

To work with veterans in the admissions process requires approval and special training to know of this population's needs.

something that really rsonated was that as admission specallist we must have a complete understanding of the school in every aspect,

Most applicant students begin the admissions interview with an interest in a specific program. During the admissions process the applicant may discover that the program is not for them. If you are familiar with all the training offered at your institution you can suggest another program that better meets the applicant's needs.  This is important because applicant students begin the admissions interview with an interest in a specific program. During this session is apparent how important it is to establish a training system to educate all employees in the different departments,  positions and how to create a culture of compliance to ensure everyone is doing the right thing. In order to provide the information and services offer to any potencial students, admissions reps must make sure that the applicants clearly understand their program of interest, and all relevant details information related to it so they can make an inform decision based in facts and potencial employment opportunities based data from official sites such as the US Labor Department, but always be transparent and never guarantee employment.

Understanding and adhering to the regulations, policies and procedures establish by the Institution on its catalog is required by all employees and management, not a choice.

Accrediting Agencies and other regulatory entities ensure and oversight all the institutions they acredite along with the states licensing bodies for schools to maintain institution control and stay in compliance at all times.

We cannot guarantee placement and employment, but we can help guide students to the right resources.
