The code of ethics that must be followed by those in admissions/enrollment are plentiful, and we have an obligation to various organizations such as our accreditors, DOE, for FL the, CIE, and others, to provide our services with transparency and providing the student with the various resources needed for them to make an education decision. 

 

The importance of collecting data from students, being well informed and following procedures.
I learned that I must follow the rules and regulations given to me by the educational institution to speak with prospective students, we must provide clear information about the different processes, such as enrollment, admission, training

In this module I learned that it is important to know the catalog and enrollment agreements to best answer students questions. I also learned that financial aid is only given to students who qualify and if I am not trained on financial aid I can not give students information on it. 

I learned that each state has their own laws and regulatory practices. In addition, I now know there are specific regulations in order to work with veterans. 

This is another reminder that the whole enrollment process involves so many variables. Schools must be organized for the multiple scenarios that can happen.

This module taught me to make sure you're following all of the rules and regulations and keeping them in mind when speaking to prospective students.

Employment cannot be guaranteed by any institutions. Not only is it not compliant and/or honest; but also it is unrealistic to make such promises.

Always needing to be correct is critical to assist students.

I learned that Orientation helps provide answers to questions. Students gain information and can meet other people who are facing similar challenges.

I learned about the many regulatory bodies that govern an institution and how important it is to abide by all of their rules & statutes

Hello, In this section I learned a bit more about why admission requirements need to be clearly stated both verbally and in the catalog. The importance of organizational structure due to many steps in the admissions process and many people in different departments within the institution. The difference in a online and veteran enrollment process. I intend to use this information when speaking to prospective students. 

I learned that the Florida Commission for Independent Education meets 6 times a year to review and discuss cases and that these meetings are available online.
