We as a online instructor have the responsibility to use the best learning methods and strategies when we deliver instruction. As we guide our students we need to evaluate and modify the course content if necessary based on the outcomes.

After reviewing the module, it is obvious that we should be using a variety of tools in our curriculum to help students adapt to the online learning enviroment.

Laying out your course & organizing by modules allows one to put in one place all materials, assessments, and interactions.  I’ve realized the importance of complementing my LMS with that of a discussion board for more group like Q & A!

Instead of simply converting a F2F course to an online course, it might be easier to create a new course. So, I will consider the options for delivery, the objectives and goals that need to be attained and the student outcomes that will be measured. These, along with my instruction style will help me organize my outline for the course.

It is important to identify the delivery methods and strategies to be used in online teaching. In modifying the course content of my F2F curriculum into online course content I will use the four O's of course design (origin, organization, orchestration and outcomes assessment)

We need to come up with interesting topics and ways to engage the students. I like the idea of the instructional units and creating units that get the learner's attention immediately. I really want to implement these units into my online classes. It is hard to learn when you are not engaged into the content / don't care about it. Organization is a big part of that as well. We need to make the online course layout accessible and keep in contact with the students abou the course layout.

Being consistent, being available, evaluation of the teaching materials, layout of courses and student outcomes are important while providing an online education.

I want to make sure my organizatioonal layout matches my teaching style.  I want to be congnicent of my course content and ensure my delivery method is suitable to enhance engagement and retention.

Being able to find materials quickly and being able to navigate the course will be important. Instead of just putting traditional materials online, it's important to weigh all the options so you use the best possible strategies and tools for your students. You need to consider the origin, organization, orchestration, and outcomes of course design wehn creating the curribulum.

consistent layout will help the students to succeed and also become more familiar with onlline learning

You just can't post a presentation on a Learning Management System and expect students to take notes and that's it. you have to transform the total process in order to see students be successful!

Providing guidance and feedback is very important.

When creating an online course you should think about the way the course is layed out and that it has an easy and consistent pattern to it so that the students can move through the course easier without stress of trying to figure out just what is expected of them.

Keep them engaged with the course along with staying organized and communicate to make sure there are no issues.

How to keep the students engaged, stay organized and always communicate with them.

I learned from this module the importance of organizing your information in a way that easy to access and to follow.  I also learned that it is critical to engage students and seek buy in from students on the first day by including a welcome letter or an engaging activity that will capture their attention.  It is a good thing to allow colleagues to look at your site and offer feedback on the flow of the course content.

I will use what I've learned to evaluate my courses and make changes where needed.  I will also implement some of the strategies that were presented, in particular at the beginning of the course.

I learned the importance of student engagment within in an online learning environment.   I plan to develop a welcome letter to students as well as participate in online discussion boards, reply to student comments and triggering additional questions or explanations. I also learned the four 0's of course design: origin, organization, orchestration, outcomes assessment. I plan to address and incorporate all of these elements into my course/s as they are developed.

This course reiterates the importance of building online courses with a focus on consistency in the layout, responsive and personal communication, and always keeping the objectives in mind when building the content.

In this module we need to understant there is the importance of consistency when building a course and its layout. It gives students a path to better understand the course and achieve learning objectives.

I learned that it may be necessary to start all over in creating an on line course.  The F2F contents may not be used to deliver effectively on line.
