Everyone learns and processes information differently. I learned as an educator it is important to multiple or even a holistic approach when evaluating students knowledge/retention of information.
As educators it is important to facilitate individualized ways of learning to best help the students meet their needs. Using a holistic method allows teachers to see the students capabilities and potential.
I learned that everyone has different learning preferences and that understanding my own learning style can help me study more effectively.
This module helped me better understand the relationship between language, literacy, and effective communication in education. I learned that language and literacy are interdependent and that multilingual learners bring valuable knowledge and experiences to the classroom. The module also emphasized the importance of recognizing students' strengths and adapting teaching strategies to support learners from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
This section gave me some inspiration to offer clearer rubrics for holistic assessment and look into creating portfolios as a learning tool.
I have learned that it is important to understand the learning preferences of each student and how each student plans to be successful.
I learned and saw that you can be a combination of different learning styles. If you put a mixture of students in a group, some who are hands-on and some who are fact-based, they can both help each other solve a problem more easily
This module reinforced that every student learns differently and that there is no single teaching approach that works for everyone. I learned the importance of recognizing different learning preferences while also being aware of the challenges some students may face, such as language barriers, learning disabilities, or personal circumstances. Going forward, I plan to use a variety of teaching methods, provide clear instructions, and create opportunities for students to ask questions and demonstrate their learning in different ways. My goal is to create a supportive classroom where all students have the opportunity to succeed.

I agree that holistic approach allows students to gain a better understanding but often can be difficult to assess compared to standardized testing. Providing diverse learning methods ensures an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Each student has a different "best" learning style. Our goal, as educators, is to present material in a manner that includes a wide variety of different learning styles.

All students have their own way of learning. Many students, if not all, will face learning challenges and difficulties along the way. Rather than adhering to standardized methods, it's important to be able to accommodate students' needs and utilize variety in teaching
Students have both learning difficulties and learning preferences. Being able to marry the two together to help each student be successful is important for professors to accomplish.
Learning preferences and having the ability to have different teaching strategies to meet each student is a priority. We also have to be reminded that learning difficulties do not necessarily mean that the student is less capable but may need accomodations for the curriculum.
