What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

When in career education you are going to have not only a variety of cultures but a variety of age as well. Some of these students may have a physical or cognitive disability. Students are going to have fears, frustrations, and circumstances that they need to feel supported and heard.

Lesson plans are important because they help you focus on what you need to prepare for class. Delivering the material can be done in a variety of ways helps keep the students interested and engaged. Take into consideration the different learning styles when deciding on how to deliver the content. The first day of class can feel overwhelming because you must review and discuss all the materials with students. However, the training discussed a saying that made a particularly strong point: "Purposeful prior planning prevents poor performance." The time and effort you put into preparing for classes will affect how they go. If you prepare properly, you can make classes informative and enjoyable. What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

When preparing to teach there is a lot more to it than just being familiar with the content if you want to be successful. By focusing on the five major areas: selecting the content (or being assigned to a content), setting up goals, writing instructional objectives to reach the goals, writing a syllabus to lay it out for the students, and deciding how best to present the content in a way that maximizes student learning. What have you learned from this module and how do you intend to apply it?

I learned that there are three important roles of an instructor: Model, Manager, and Motivator. That there are certain competencies we as instructors need to meet: Technical, Professional, and Personal. Know and continue to develop your instructional style and do not try to do it the way someone else does it, if it is not you. Always be professional in all aspects, and have a professional development plan to continue to grow as an educator.
