t is important for instructors to identify ways to support and accommodate students with learning challenges in both classroom and laboratory settings. Instructors must recognize that learning preferences are different from learning challenges. While all instructors have their own preferred ways of learning and may naturally tend to teach in ways that align with those preferences, we must be mindful that not all students learn in the same way. As instructors, we should challenge this tendency and intentionally create learning environments that recognize and accommodate the diverse needs of our students.

Providing a variety of options—such as lectures, videos, and hands-on activities—allows students to engage with material in different ways and recognize that they may be multimodal learners rather than fitting into a single category.

Operationalizing educational theory is the process of translating abstract learning principles into concrete, measurable teaching practices, strategies, and assessments that can be implemented and evaluated in real-world educational settings.

It's always best to maintain open communication and an open-door policy with students. They should have access to you whenever they need assistance or clarification.

I have learned that when teaching an online course, it's essential to welcome students with an introductory video.  It is also important to communicate timely manner.
