Ive learned that being prepare is essential and on- going.

Deciding what type of teaching style you want to have is important and may need to change based on a number of factors; class size, environment, etc.

Students evaluate your style and you; they go together but they are different.

An instructor has to be a model, motivator and a manager. one should dress and conduct in a frofessional way. professionalism is very important. A learning atmosphere rather than a teaching one is a better approach. And also professional growth is very important.

Great reflection that there is a need of both: Professional and Personal Groth Planning!

This topic has brought me through a lot of reflection on my part . I feel the very beginning of this topic set the stage for much of my reflection as a teacher to be the best model, manager, and motivator for my students. I also take very seriously the teaching and learning aspect I bring to my students, and I will keep in mind that the learning aspect of teaching is the most important thing going on in the classroom.

Being a good educator does not necessarily translate into being the most knowledgeable about the subject.

The presenter is very good.

Learning is the goal; students first. As instructor several key foundational structures need to be in place including planned preparation and caring about outcomes. Many components build this foundation including modeling expectations, positive reinforcement, and confidence in competencies.

The main takeaway for me is that learning to teach others will require thought and effort to improve as an instructor.

This Pandemic has made me enhance my technological skills being force into an Online Classroom. Listening to the student and their own frustrations with this shift in education. I was available for the students when then had questions and answered them honestly and with understanding of this "change in the classroom."

Specificity on motivation

I appreciated the detailed information provided on the importance of creating a professional development plan.

Some key components to remember about becoming a good instructor are being a good role model to inculde demonstrating by actions of maintaining quality career skills. Through good organizational skills from set-up of supplies and content materials for the program. Plus, convincing the students your love for this subject will create an internal drive of appreciation throughout your classes.

Learning from the past instructors and also to grow from mistakes.

The motivator section was what I learned the most from. I try to keep my students motivated, but I liked they included the bit about sensitivity to the flow of the class as a whole. Its easy to focus on individual movtivation or collective motivation, but a balancing act to do both!

As excited as i am to teach, the focus needs to be on the learner.

I have learned that a combination of being a role model, motivator, and manager are all key components of successful and integrative instruction. This will keep students engaged and motivated to be interested in their fields of study.

Model professionalism in your field.  Ask other instructors for support and guidance.

lead by example. role model and educate

Be enthusiastic, model, teach by example, show your love of the profession and the topic you are teaching. Use your peers for ideas and different teaching strategies. Always remember there is more to learn as an instructor. Motivate your students

Formulate instruction based on your style, assessment of the material, the environment, the class, and in line with the institution. Highest importance is student learning, not instruction.
